Another former Arsenal prospect has impressed this week, after Serge Gnabry’s heroics.

It hasn’t been a brilliant week for Arsenal when it comes to former players.

On Tuesday, former Gunners winger Serge Gnabry scored four goals in Bayern Munich’s 7-2 Champions League win away to Tottenham Hotspur.

Gnabry left Arsenal to join Werder Bremen for £5 million in 2016 and, well, it’s fair to say that he’s worth quite a bit more than that now after his heroics at Spurs.

And it looks like another former player of the club’s Hale End academy could be going on to bigger and better things, too.

It wasn’t in the Champions League, but a certain Dan Crowley played a blinder on Friday as Birmingham City beat Middlesbrough 2-1 at St Andrews.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder, who left Arsenal in 2017, was once considered one of the club’s most exciting youth prospects, but he left for Willem II and is now back on English soil.

Last night, Crowley, who never made a senior appearance under Arsene Wenger, delivered a sensational cross which was headed home by Odin Bailey for an 89th-minute winner.

Here’s how fans are reacting to Crowley’s display on Twitter:

Crowley has a ways to go before he makes Arsenal facepalm like Gnabry did earlier this week, but he’s certainly fulfilling his potential and that, if nothing else, might please some fans of the North London side.
