Alan Smith defends praising Tottenham.

Going into punditry is seen by many former professionals as a dream job after playing football, but it has it’s pitfalls.
Arsenal’s European Cup Winners’ Cup clinching striker Alan Smith is once again finding this out after being criticised by fans of his former club.
The former Gunner caught flak on social media after his commentary for Sky Sports as Tottenham Hotspur sauntered to a win over Cardiff City on New Year’s Day.
Smith defended himself, insisting he has unparalleled love for Arsenal.
He said that his comments on Tottenham were purely objective.
Tottenham are currently above Arsenal in the league and sit in second place.
Arsenal beat Spurs early in December, but were then knocked out of the Carabao Cup by their rivals.
Spurs are currently seven points ahead of the Gunners, who sit in fifth position in the Premier League.
