Emmanuel Petit says the midfielder is the Leicester star he’d most like to see Arsenal, and urged the club to sign him as well as Jamie Vardy.

Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit has admitted, as quoted by the Telegraph, that the Leicester City title-winning star he’d most like to see Arsene Wenger go after this summer is midfielder N’Golo Kante.
The Gunners launched a £20 million bid for 24-goal Foxes striker Jamie Vardy this week and the 29-year-old England man is considering his future while away on England duty ahead of Euro 2016.
Wenger has also been linked with a move for creative sensation Riyad Mahrez after the Algerian was named the PFA Player of the Year in recognition of a superb debut season in which he racked up 17 goals and 11 assists.

However, Petit, a combative central midfielder during his time at Arsenal, believes that the North London club should be going all out to sign another star of the King Power Stadium show in N’Golo Kante.
The French World Cup-winner said, as quoted by the Telegraph: “Speaking as a Frenchman and a midfielder, the man I’d love Arsene to bring from Leicester is Kante. Bring Kante as well, then you have a team.”

Like Mahrez, Kante was only signed by Leicester from Ligue 1 last summer, arriving from Caen for around £5.5 million, but his stellar displays have made him a primary target of several top clubs from across Europe.
The 25-year-old was named in the PFA Team of the Year and was shortlisted for the Player of the Year award, and has blossomed into a full French international as a result of his superb club form.
Pete clearly believes that Kante’s combative nature, which saw him amongst the top players in England for defensive statistics such as tackling and interceptions, would add a key missing ingredient to the Gunners side.
