Former Manchester United man Patrice Evra seems to have convinced coach Max Allegri that he should be first choice at Juventus.
Patrice Evra is quickly establishing himself at Juventus and he seems to be slightly ahead of Kwadwo Asamoah in the battle for left-side superiority.
Evra left Manchester United after eight years at Old Trafford despite a confusing summer transfer saga that saw the French international sign a renewal to his contract, which was set to expire, before deciding to join Juventus.
Asamoah presented a fearsome opponent for a first-team place, but Evra appears to be on the right path to being Allegri’s preferred option.
It looks likely that Evra will start Juventus’s next fixture away to minnows Sassuolo and he has the chance to cement his grip on the starting spot.
So far this season Evra has played 270 minutes in Serie A and 180 in the Champions League and has an impressive average rating of 7.7 in the league this term.
Asamoah also has 270 Serie A minutes to his name but just one Champions League game this season with an average rating of 7.06.
