Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Fabio Carvalho has already undergone a medical ahead of potentially joining Liverpool.
Earlier this month, the Italian journalist broke the news that Liverpool were set to sign the Fulham sensation in a £5 million deal this summer [The Guardian].
The Anfield outfit were set to sign Carvalho on transfer deadline day in January, only for the move to collapse late on.
However, the Reds are seemingly determined to correct that this summer.
And it looks like they’re moving fast because Romano has now revealed that the 19-year-old has already completed his medical.
He said on Rio Ferdinand’s FIVE YouTube show: “The deal is done, 100 percent. The player has already visited the training ground, met with Jurgen Klopp, had his medical with Fulham’s permission. So everything is done between Fabio Carvalho and Liverpool.”
Leaving aside journalistic speculation, Carvalho might’ve confirmed the move himself.
When Romano broke the story originally, the Cottagers’ attacker ‘liked‘ an Instagram post relating to his prospective move to Merseyside.
And that, in this day and age, is all the confirmation you need to know that it’s pretty much a done deal.
With nine goals for the Championship outfit this season, Carvalho has lit up England’s second tier and it looks like Liverpool are bringing another exceptional talent to Anfield, joining up with the likes of Harvey Elliott and Kaide Gordon.
