Speaking on West Ham United’s YouTube channel, Mark Noble has been full of praise for Lukasz Fabianski.

The West Ham skipper is retiring at the end of the season, and with the end in sight, the midfielder has been asked to create the best XI of players he’s worked alongside during his career.

Noble has seen plenty of goalkeepers come and go from West Ham during his time at the club, from England internationals such as Rob Green to Joe Hart all the way to a World Cup winner in Alphonse Areola.

However, according to Noble, the best goalkeeper he’s played with during his time at the club is the Hammers’ current number one, Fabianski.

What’s been said?

Noble named Fabianski as the goalkeeper in his side.

“I think Fabianksi, yeah, because of how well we’ve done and also because of how calm he is, you know you see some goalkeepers jumping up and screaming at defenders and all that stuff, he’s such a calm presence, and for me, his all-around game, everything, he’s one of the best,” Noble said.

Excellent

Noble has worked with some brilliant goalkeepers at West Ham, but it’s fair to say that Fabianski has been the best of the bunch.

He may not have the CV of Joe Hart or Areola, but in terms of performances for West Ham, there’s nobody better.

Fabianski always turns up when it matters, and it’s hard to remember a single occasion where he’s let the club down.

Noble is the hallmark of consistency at West Ham, but Fabianski would certainly give him a run for his money in that department.
