Former Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha has questioned why Celtic “decreased so dramatically” last season as the Gers romped to the title, with the Portuguese coach wondering whether “bad management” was to blame for their demise.

Rangers won the title by 25 points from their bitter rivals, their biggest ever margin, and Caixinha revisited a much-derided line from his time at Ibrox when he reiterated his belief that football “is a cycle.”
Caixinha thinks something badly went wrong at Celtic but insists he is happy for the Light Blues, telling Rangers Review: “Naturally, I think life is a cycle. Football is also a cycle.
“But there remains the question of why Celtic decreased so dramatically. I don’t know … but something happened. Bad management, bad vision…
“If you look to my time in charge and now, everything is reversed. Everything.
“I’m happy of course, I’m happy for Rangers.”
While there aren’t many positives to look back on from Caixinha’s reign for Rangers fans, the signings of Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Jack will be up there.

The Portuguese coach completely underestimated the size of the job facing him at Ibrox and it would show in results.
Now things are closer to normality for Rangers, the former Ibrox manager would probably be best served avoiding sticking his head above the parapet and reminding Gers fans of just how bad things were at Ibrox a few short years ago.
