Speaking on Liverpool’s YouTube channel, Roberto Firmino has been discussing Fabinho.
The centre-forward was tasked with creating a so-called dream five-a-side team, and inevitably, a number of current Liverpool players made the cut.
Fabinho was picked to anchor the midfield, and Firmino had nothing but good things to say about his fellow countryman, describing him as a pleasure to play with and a top player.
Fabinho is certainly one of the best in the world in his position, and his fellow professionals seem to respect him highly.

What’s been said?
Firmino was full of praise for the midfield general.
“Third on my list is Fabinho, he is a great friend of mine, it is a pleasure to play with him. He is a top player. He deserves everything he has achieved and he is on my list,” Firmino said.
Not for five-a-side
We can’t disagree with a word of what Firmino has said there. Fabinho is a brilliant footballer who absolutely deserves all of the success that he’s had within the beautiful game.
However, if we were picking a five-a-side team Fabinho wouldn’t be one of the first names on our teamsheet.
Small-sided games are all about flair, skill and close control, and while Fabinho is a Brazilian, he’s not quite cut from the ‘Joga Bonito’ cloth.
Fabinho is much more of a destructive force in the middle of the park who breaks up play and reads the game well, and while that makes him an invaluable member of this Liverpool squad, we’d much rather have a player like Thiago in a five-a-side game.
