The Sheffield Wednesday midfielder is back at Hillsborough after a productive four months in Kent.

News of Sean Clare’s return to Sheffield Wednesday has not been well received in Gillingham.
Clare spent the past four months on loan at Priestfield, playing 23 times in various positions – including right-back – from which he scored one goal and created another.
But despite the wishes of many Gills fans, the 21-year-old is heading back to Hillsborough for the foreseeable future, as the player himself alluded to on Thursday.

Here’s how those in Kent have responded to Clare’s exit – it’s good news for Wednesday by the sound of it…
With Sheffield Wednesday in the midst of an injury crisis – the Owls could have nine players sidelined for Saturday’s FA Cup trip to Carlisle United – it is likely that Clare will be staying put for the time being.
However, much like another recently recalled Wednesday midfielder – Jack Stobbs – Clare cannot feature against Carlisle having already appeared in this season’s competition, for Gillingham.
Should Sheffield Wednesday give Clare a chance in the coming weeks?
