Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told Sky Sports that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are now getting closer to the football they want to play.

Klopp has said that three weeks ago people were wondering where Arsenal were heading.

However, the Gunners are starting to get their identify, according to the Liverpool boss.

Klopp told Sky Sports: “Arsenal, three weeks ago, everyone was wondering about them but now they’re getting closer to the football they want to play.”

Encouraging

Arsenal did start the season badly and were losing Premier League games.

But things have changed now.

Arteta’s side are winning matches and are also not conceding many goals.

Arsenal kept clean sheets against Burnley and Norwich City and got the better of Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby with ease last weekend.

Now, no one should think that Arsenal can challenge for the Premier League title this season or even next season.

However, there are some positive signs at the moment.

If Arsenal are able to maintain their momentum, keep their players fit, maintain discipline on the pitch, and keep it tight at the back, then they could well challenge for the Champions League places in the Premier League table this season.

Remember, the Gunners do not have any European football this season, which means that manager Arteta gets a whole week to work with his players and prepare them for the weekend.
