Bruno Fernandes has shared that Arsenal have had a ‘really good’ start to the new Premier League season and he thinks ‘everyone was ‘everyone was expecting’ Manchester United to possibly lose.
Manchester United made it four wins from four on Sunday at Old Trafford as Erik ten Hag’s side ended Arsenal’s 100% start to the season and Fernandes hailed his side’s ‘togetherness’, as he told Premier League Productions (04/09/22 at 6:35 pm).
Mikel Arteta would have been left fuming at how things unfolded in Manchester because Gabriel Martinelli was denied an opening goal yesterday after the on-field referee, Paul Tierney, overturned his goal via VAR, for a foul in the build-up.

It was a big moment in the game because summer signing Antony would then open the scoring on debut, which provided the home team with enough momentum and belief to win the game, despite Bukayo Saka’s equalising goal in the second half.
Nonetheless, this is what Fernandes had to say about yesterday’s result and Arsenal’s start to the new Premier League season.
“It’s a big win,” said Fernandes. “Arsenal have been really good this season. We knew it would be a great game to win. Everyone was expecting a different result probably.
“But we did what we had to do. We did our job and did it great. The togetherness was key.”

EUROPA LEAGUE MATTERS
Arsenal can’t worry too much about this defeat because the overall picture shows that they have started the new season in a very strong game.
The same for Man United, as for now, despite those opening losses for ten Hag, as three points separate fifth-placed Manchester United and leaders Arsenal in the table.
Nonetheless, now it’s Europa League matters for both Arsenal and Manchester United to deal with, as a packed-out schedule kicks in during these coming weeks.
For the Gunners, they travel to Switzerland to take on FC Zurich next Thursday, whilst Manchester United will host Spanish side, Real Sociedad.
