Charles Watts has suggested that he has been tipped off that Arsenal’s Charlie Patino is going to be some talent, on his own Youtube channel.
Patino is rapidly starting to emerge as a huge prospect in Arsenal’s development squad.
The attacking midfielder has caught the eye in the under-23 side this season.
And Mikel Arteta has already called him up into Arsenal’s first-team training on regular occasions this term.
Despite his tender years, Patino has coped well in the senior squad.
And Watts has suggested that Arsenal insiders have spoken very highly of the talent.
“Charlie Patino, everyone that I’ve spoken to and every time I’ve seen him he’s impressed me,” the goal.com reporter said when asked which Arsenal prospect is the most exciting.
“Everyone I’ve spoken to has been really impressed by him and is really excited by him. He’s really looking like that Jack Wilshere type player. He’s the most exciting player coming through.”
Arteta has already spoken about his desire to see Arsenal youngsters develop into first-team stars, and he has shown a willingness to play the youth.
The likes of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe have broken into Arsenal’s starting line-up after progressing through the North London club’s academy.
And it seems that there are real hopes that Patino could do the same in future years.
