The New York Knicks’ long-awaited championship parade will feature a heavy dose of hip-hop royalty, with Wu-Tang Clan among the artists expected to appear on a float celebrating the franchise’s first NBA title in 53 years.

After ending one of the longest title droughts in professional sports, the Knicks are preparing for a Manhattan celebration that’s as much about the city’s culture as it is about basketball.

The parade’s music lineup reflects the deep ties between New York hoops and the hip-hop scene that grew up alongside it.

Wu-Tang Clan headline star-studded Knicks parade hip-hop float

Several iconic names with roots in the city are expected to join the parade’s dedicated hip-hop float as fans line the streets to celebrate Jalen Brunson and the rest of the NBA champions.

The expected lineup includes Wu-Tang Clan, a group that’s long been woven into the fabric of New York sports and culture.

They’re set to be joined by a host of fellow New York hip-hop legends, including The LOX, Q-Tip, Mobb Deep, Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Fabolous, Ja Rule and M.O.P.

The float isn’t limited to just hip-hop, either. Mary J. Blige and Yung Miami are also reportedly set to take part in the celebration, adding further star power to the mix.

For many fans, seeing Wu-Tang Clan involved will be a highlight in itself. The group remains one of New York’s most influential acts and has regularly shown love for the city’s teams over the years.

Why the Knicks championship celebration feels uniquely New York

This parade is about more than basketball. After more than five decades without a title, New York is turning the occasion into a celebration of everything that surrounds the Knicks — especially the culture that’s grown up around the team.

The Knicks have always held a special place in the city’s sporting landscape, and their championship run brought together fans from every part of New York.

A float packed with artists from across generations of hip-hop is a nod to that wider story. From Wu-Tang Clan and Mobb Deep to newer stars like Yung Miami, the lineup is expected to span eras of music that helped define the city.

With thousands expected to fill the streets and a performer list that could rival a festival lineup, the Knicks’ championship parade looks set to be one of the biggest celebrations New York has seen in years.
