
Paul Merson has said on Sky Sports News (2:05pm, December 11, 2021) that Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a superstar.
The former Arsenal star has said that every time Arsenal play well, it is because of Aubameyang.
However, Merson has added that the 32-year-old striker is a problem for manager Mikel Arteta.
That’s because, according to the Sky Sports pundit, young players at Arsenal look up to him.
Merson said: “For me, he is the problem. These young kids look up to him, he ix the superstar, he gets the big money.
“He is the star player. Every time that Arsenal play well. Aubameyang is on it. He is on it. He is closing down, he is scoring. All the youngsters follow him.”

However, Aubameyang was nowhere to be seen.
That’s because, as Arteta said before the game, the striker was left out due to disciplinary issues.
