Speaking on the Wrighty’s House Podcast, Ian Wright has been waxing-lyrical about Jack Grealish, naming him in his Player of the Year discussion.

It’s come to that time of the season where we have to start thinking about who is going to be winning the end of season awards in the Premier League, and Wright believes that Grealish has to be in the running for Player of the Year.

“I wish Jack Grealish didn’t get the injury he got. When you’re looking at a team, when Villa play and he’s playing I want to watch the game. Jack Grealish gives you something every time he touches the ball. He’s one of those, he’s worth £100m of anybody’s money, anybody in the top four who can buy that guy he’d improve their team. He’s beautiful to watch,” Wright said.

We can’t disagree with anything Wright has said here.

Grealish has been on fire this season, and while his goals and assists speak for themselves, it’s his general play that separates him from everyone else.

He’s one of the best dribblers in the country, and he has an unbelievable eye for a pass.

As Wright says, his injury has come at the worst possible time, and that may hamper his chances of winning any Player of the Year awards, but it’s a testament to his quality that he’s even involved in these types of conversations.
