Michael Owen told Premier League Productions that Fabinho produces ‘unbelievable work’ for Liverpool ‘every game’.

The former Premier League striker was praising Fabinho for his performance during Liverpool’s 3-0 win at the Emirates on Saturday evening and how he seemingly goes unnoticed.

To the relief of many Liverpool fans, Fabinho is once again being used in midfield… and Jurgen Klopp’s men are looking like their old self again.

On top of the work that Fabinho puts in for Liverpool, Owen also thinks nobody touches him in the league in regards to how he ‘sniffs danger out’.

“It’s important to get him in there,” said Owen. “He does unbelievable work. Every single game you watch him.

“It’s one of those unless you are watching out for him. He is probably one that goes by because he’s not the one making these creative passes or he’s not one who scores too many goals.

“But he sniffs danger out virtually better than anybody in the Premier League.”

Fabinho doesn’t pick out a pass like Kevin de Bruyne, he doesn’t score goals like Harry Kane or carry the ball like Jack Grealish.

But one thing the £39 million star (BBC Sport) does is ensure the system around him works to its best because he is the engine of this Liverpool team.

Whilst Fabinho didn’t do much wrong at centre-back this season, his performances were hugely missed a little further forward and that point is being proved now.
