Ryan Mason told his pre-match press conference that Tottenham striker, Harry Kane, ‘sets the tone’ in training every day.
The current stand-in Spurs boss shared that Kane is ‘one of the most professional’ players he has seen in his life.
That won’t be a surprise to the Tottenham supporters because there’s a reason as to why Kane is one of the best number 9’s in the world and the captain of his country.
But after a difficult week for Spurs, where they lost the League Cup final, Mason shared nothing but praise for his main man up top.
“Harry Kane is one of the most professional guys I have seen or come across in my life,” said Mason. “So, that’s the most important thing. The players, that’s what they see.
“They see a leader in every day in training that sets the tone and sets the example.
“When you are one of the best players in the world and you are acting like that then you can only appreciate and applaud that kind of mentality.”

Kane’s body has taken some battering during these past seasons and even with injuries, he seems to rush himself back or play more than he should.
It wouldn’t be a surprise if that’s been the case during these past few weeks, but even if it is, there’s no let-off for the hitman.
Tottenham are sitting seventh in the Premier League table and they need to secure that top-four finish.
And whilst it’s a long shot for them. Their chances of creating those miracle moments lie at the feet of their star man.
