With another impressive season moving swiftly along, the Toffee’s nurturing of young talent must be applauded.

Everton have long been one of the best developers of young talent – from academy graduates like Wayne Rooney to young purchases being improved such as John Stones, there have been multiple players to rise through the ranks and given time to shine, before going on to bigger things.
Under Ronald Koeman, this policy appears to be no different, and once more it seems to be bearing fruit. Specifically, the form of academy graduate Tom Davies is turning heads toward Goodison Park, after a series of sparkling displays by the 18 year-old Englishman.
Davies, who won the PFA Fans’ Premier League Player of the Month in January, is not the only young player to impress for the Toffees in recent times. New signing Ademola Lookman from Charlton scored on his debut, and has played 5 times since.
Meanwhile, Ross Barkley continues to play a strong part in everything that happens for Everton, scoring 5 and assisting 5 in all competitions this season.
If you add the integration of youthful centre back Mason Holgate, who’s made 18 appearances for the club this season, plus the form of Romelu Lukaku, who somehow is still only 23 years of age, you can easily come to the conclusion that Everton are still putting youth first, and it’s paying off.
And of even more encouraging news to Toffees fans, there are plenty more prospects on the cusp of the first team.
