Steve Bruce’s Aston Villa side are said to be desperate to bring in Yannick Bolasie from Everton.

Everton’s Yannick Bolasie should take his chance to join Aston Villa, with Steve Bruce being desperate to sign him.

The Birmingham Mail suggest that Bruce is seriously keen to add Bolasie to his Villa squad, but the winger has doubts over making a move to the Midlands.

Bolasie has shown that he can make an impact in the Premier League, and a move down to the Championship is said to not exactly be enthusing the wide-man.

However, a switch to Villa could be ideal to helping Bolasie get back to his best.

Bolasie hasn’t been the same player as he was at his destructive best after injury struck at Everton, and he appears to need to get regular first-team football again, as he looks to regain his confidence.

The Congolese winger would immediately become one of the biggest threats in the Championship if he was to move to Villa, and he could work brilliantly for Bruce’s side.

Bolasie and Jack Grealish would give Villa’s strikers a great deal of service, and could create space for each other.

And although the move to Villa may seem like a backwards step for Bolasie right now, it could help him to take a big leap forward over the long-term.
