Everton’s Nathan Broadhead is part of the team’s Europa League squad.
Everton have taken a selection of academy talents out to Cyprus for this evening’s Europa League clash with Apollon Limassol.
One player certainly worth watching is young talent Nathan Broadhead.
Broadhead is Wales youth international and will be hoping to follow Liverpool compatriot Ben Woodburn by scoring on his debut for the club.
The young talent is a 19-year-old striker who has played regularly for the under-23s this season, both up front and in a secondary striker role.
Broadhead can also play as a winger, and won the club’s academy player of the season award in 2015/16.
He has been with Everton since he was 10 years old, and while he was born in Bangor, Wales, he describes himself as an Evertonian.
Under-23s boss David Unsworth told Wales Online last year: “Nathan has been one of the best Under-18s players in the last two years.
“He’s lived in the gym and physically he’s grown so he can really compete. Fitness-wise he’s so much better, but also from a tactical point of view, he understands the game a lot more in terms of the demands of senior football.”
This potential first team opportunity is a big chance for him, and it is important he makes the most of any minutes he gets.
