A combination of Premier League youth and experience have made the list of Everton’s top five performers.

Everton's Romelu Lukaku celebrates scoring their first goal with Everton manager Ronald Koeman

Everton are essentially in a league of their own; better than the rest, but not quite in competition with the top 6, and a great start to the season was followed by several underwhelming performances.

However, Ronald Koeman’s side have finally hit a consistent run of form, and they have not lost since the 19th of December.

Below are five of the side’s top performers this season:

Romelu Lukaku

The Belgian has scored 16 goals in the Premier League this season and only Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez has more (17). His performance against Bournemouth, where he scored 4, highlights that he is unplayable on his day.

Leighton Baines

The 32 year old has been a fans favourite for some time now. The Kirkby born defender has been Everton’s most consistent performer this season and his experience is vital.

Seamus Coleman

The Irish full back has been the only player to rival Romelu Lukaku of late. Very few defenders in the league can match his offensive threat, and knack for scoring vital goals, such as his recent late winner at Crystal Palace.

Tom Davies

After breaking into the first team this season in a highly competitive position, the local lad already looks a complete midfielder. It is also worth noting how much better Barkley performs with him in the side.

Idrissa Gueye

Director of Football, Steve Walsh was desperate to bring Gueye to Merseyside from Aston Villa. His work rate, aggression and composure on the ball were hugely missed during the African Cup of Nations. He has made more tackles than any other player in the league this campaign.
