Everton are said to be interested in snapping up Chelsea defender Reece James this summer.

Everton’s task of persuading Chelsea to sell Reece James to them may just have got even more difficult.
Everton will clearly be looking to bring in a right-back after allowing Jonjoe Kenny to join Schalke on loan yesterday.
But if Chelsea let James leave for Goodison Park now then it would be a major surprise.

James looks likely to be promoted to Chelsea’s second choice right-back this summer, and Aina’s departure means that the London side are short of other options in that position.
With Chelsea possibly facing a transfer ban, James has just become even more valuable to the Blues.
And Everton will surely have to look elsewhere, if they are to find a right-back now, as it would be a major shock of Chelsea listened to any offers for the England youth international.
