Everton boss Ronald Koeman wants more goals coming from behind the striker, so surely a move for Serge Gnabry would be a wise option.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman
Ronald Koeman has openly spoken about his desire to sign the kind of players this summer that will see Everton pose more of a goalscoring threat right across the pitch, especially in midfield (via Daily Mirror), so there is no question that one of the Bundesliga’s most impressive youngsters should be a target in the coming months.
Serge Gnabry may be a familiar name to Premier League supporters given his unspectacular time at Arsenal, as well as his poor loan spell with West Brom a couple of years ago.
But while those facts may leave Toffees fans uninspired about the idea of targeting the winger, it is fair to say that since his return to Germany, he has been sensational and appears ready to prove the Gunners and the Baggies completely wrong.
The 21-year-old has been brilliant for Werder Bremen, scoring 10 times in just 24 Bundesliga appearances to help Bremen make a charge for the European spots this term.
Serge Gnabry
It seems safe to say that Gnabry is finally beginning to prove that he could be one of Europe’s most exciting talents, and for that reason, Everton simply must make a move before his value soars as he would undoubtedly address their lack of goals from those playing off Romelu Lukaku.
The Germany international is capable of playing in a variety of positions – including up front – so Koeman should have absolutely no problem fitting him into his lineup, and a repeat of his goals return from this year would surely help the Merseyside outfit bridge the gap to the top four.
And with his best years probably a fair way off, bringing him to Goodison Park this summer would surely send out a major message – perhaps to their own players as well as potential targets – about the club’s ambition.
