Everton defender Seamus Coleman has told the Liverpool Echo that he has told Kurt Zouma to sign for the Goodison Park club.

Everton have taken Zouma on loan from Chelsea for the season, and the centre-back has been highly impressive.

Zouma was in good form once again at the weekend, as Everton picked up a 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace.

And Coleman admits that he is now starting to put pressure on Zouma to sign for the Toffees this summer.

“I just told him I’ve got a contract for him in my bag and will he sign it!” the full-back said.

“He’s been brilliant. Even today at different times they looked like they looked like they were going to get away on the break but he’s a strong boy who gets his body in the way.

“He’s quite happy to take the ball out from the back and he’s been a great signing.”

Marco Silva has already gone on record to suggest that Everton will try and make Zouma’s transfer a permanent one.

If Everton are to sign Zouma then they will have to pay £30 million, according to The Sun.

Everton are thought to have money to spend in the summer, and they want to keep fellow loanee Andre Gomes around too.

The Toffees are next in action against Burnley on Friday evening.
