Friday’s clash with Crystal Palace proved to be something of a frustrating one for Everton as the sides played out a 1-1 draw.

After an impressive first half in which they dominated the play, they took the lead just before half-time through Romelu Lukaku’s superb free-kick.

Their second half performance did not match that standard as they allowed the visitors back into the game, with Christian Benteke levelling with a commanding header.

One Blues star who failed to impress again was midfielder Ross Barkley, as he was kept quiet by the Palace midfielder for much of the game.Crystal Palace's Jason Puncheon in action with Everton's Ross Barkley

It seems he did not struggle in one particular area, though, as he managed more accurate crosses than any other player this weekend.

He posted five in total, which saw him come in ahead of West Ham’s Dimitri Payet and Chelsea’s William, who both registered four apiece.

It was not the only area Barkley did well in either as he was also among the top ranked players when it came to key passes.

He managed seven in total, just one short of Alexis Sanchez’s, who posted a weekend high of eight in Arsenal’s win over Burnley.
