Arsenal could be dealt a huge blow in the transfer window as Everton try to swoop in for Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha.

Zaha has been heavily linked with a move to another London based side in Arsenal but the Gunners’ inability to cough up the money to meet Crystal Palace’s valuation has halted a potential deal.
Fellow Premier League rivals Everton, who are now owned by former Arsenal shareholder Farhad Moshiri, has shown his willingness to invest in the side and with potential funds incoming from player sales, they could well break their club record to sign Zaha in the coming weeks.
Everton are set to receive about £50 million from the sales of Ademola Lookman to RB Leipzig and potentially Idrissa Gueye to French champions Paris Saint-Germain. The Toffees could put that money straight back in and Zaha would truly be an incredible signing for them this summer.

The Toffees biggest issue last season was the lack of goals from their strikers. Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Cenk Tosun both had hugely underwhelming seasons which forced Marco Silva to push club-record signing Richarlison upfront.
Signing Zaha would make Everton’s attack hugely flexible with both Richarlison and the Ivorian capable of playing down the middle as well as on the flanks. Their pace and ability to get past players will be a huge asset to Marco Silva’s side and the Toffees could well start the season as favourites to finish seventh in the league if they sign Zaha this summer.
