A few Everton fans raised a smile on a day when there was little to be happy about at Manchester United as striker Oumar Niasse was spotted in the away end.
Niasse was among the visiting supporters watching the game as the Toffees lost 4-0 at Old Trafford, a result which saw them drop to 18th in the Premier League table.
It was another difficult day in front of goal for the Merseysiders, who have now gone three league outings without finding the back of the net.
In fact only bottom side Crystal Palace have scored fewer than the two goals Ronald Koeman’s men have managed in the English top flight in 2017/18, with their issues upfront in particular a big concern.
Losing Romelu Lukaku to the Red Devils was a massive blow and none of Wayne Rooney, Sandro Ramirez or Dominic Calvert-Lewin have managed to adequately fill the void thus far.

Which begs the question why Koeman hadn’t named Niasse in his squad, despite the fact the Daily Mail reported how the Dutchman had reinstated the 27-year-old in the first team even though he was told he had no future at Goodison Park a year ago and that he could leave on a free transfer this summer after being demoted to the Under-23s and not even given a shirt number.
The Senegal international may not have scored a goal for Everton in his seven appearances for them to date, but he does have three in two in Premier League 2 this term and scored five times while on loan at Hull City last season.
