The new Everton boss will be a big hit at Goodison Park, according to Jordan Pickford.

Toffees stopper Jordan Pickford raved about Sam Allardyce during an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, sharing what he expects the 63-year-old to bring to Everton this season.
The Blues began their 2017/18 Premier League campaign in miserable fashion, and were inside the relegation zone before taking seven points from their last four league outings, and with Allardyce at the helm there is now a genuine feel of optimism emanating from Goodison Park.
Pickford himself was instrumental during his side’s 4-0 win over West Ham on Wednesday night, saving a penalty from Manuel Lanzini at a crucial time in the game, when his side were just two goals up.

And when speaking exclusively to EvertonFC.com, the 23-year-old talked up the recent appointment of the former West Ham, Newcastle United and Bolton Wanderers boss, highlighting how he will immediately stamp his authority on the Everton side:

“Sam was great with us as a group of lads when we had him at Sunderland and knew the ins and outs of what we needed to do to win games. He will bring a great structure – prepare us for those winnable games and, against the better sides, he will keep us solid as a unit and not let that unfold. Hopefully this (win over West Ham) kick-starts us on a run of games where we keep clean sheets and are a tight unit at the back.”
Next up for Allardyce’s men is a home game against Huddersfield Town tomorrow, and a victory really could signal the start of Everton’s resurgence, and subsequent climb up the Premier League table.
