The Everton goalkeeper would be a fantastic addition to the Celtic squad this summer.
Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers will be looking to bolster his squad further still, before the start of the new Scottish Premiership campaign, in an attempt to guide his side to even more success.
One area that will be of particular concern for the Celtic supremo will be his goalkeeping options, with Craig Gordon’s form over the past 6-12 months leading to pleas from fans for a new ‘keeper to be signed this summer.
And with this in mind, the Glasgow giants should consider a bold move for Toffees stopper Joel Robles.
The 27-year-old looks like he will be surplus to requirements at Everton this season, following Jordan Pickford’s big-money arrival, and the offer of guaranteed football elsewhere could hold a major sway in where he plies his trade this term.

And what a signing the Spaniard could prove to be for Rodgers’ side. Standing at 6ft 5in, the former Atletico Madrid man is commanding in the air, and provides an extremely vociferous vocal presence at the back.
For such a big man, Robles possess wonderful reflexes, and that combined with his large frame makes him a superb shot-stopper.
At 27, the Everton goalkeeper is arguably still yet to reach his prime years, so Celtic could earn themselves a real coup by bringing him to Parkhead this summer.
Robles moved to Goodison Park in the summer of 2013, for a fee believed to be in the region of £2 million, and he has just one year remaining on his current deal with the club.
That should mean that the Hoops won’t have to pay too much to tempt the Toffees into selling, and if Rodgers does manage to bring the Spaniard to Glasgow, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance.
