Everton-owned striker Henry Onyekuru scored a big goal for loan club Galatasaray on Sunday.

Onyekuru, a £7 million signing by Everton in 2017 [BBC Sport], netted a fantastic header in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with bitter Turkish rivals Fenerbahce.

The 21-year-old, who has now struck 13 times in all competitions, hasn’t yet kicked a ball for the Toffees due to work permit issues.

Eljif Elmas equalised for the hosts five minutes later last night to deny Gala a big derby-day win, but Onyekuru posted a philosophical post-match tweet on social media after the game.

Everton fans will be hoping that Onyekuru can secure a visa to play for the Premier League side next term.

Marco Silva desperately needs a goalscorer up front next season, with Cenk Tosun struggling in his first full season at Goodison Park, and maybe, just maybe, Onyekuru is the answer.

Everton signed the Nigerian hitman from Belgian outfit Eupen.
