Everton youngster Kieran Dowell is a former teammate of Nottingham Forest’s Ben Watson, who worked under Marco Silva at Watford.

Former Watford boss Silva has been appointed the new Everton manager following the departure of Sam Allardyce from Goodison Park at the end of the 2017-18 campaign.
Dowell spent the 2017-18 campaign on loan at Forest from Everton and played alongside fellow midfielder Watson.
The 32-year-old midfielder moved to Forest in February 2018 after leaving Premier League club Watford, where he worked with Silva, who was in charge of the Hornets from the summer of 2017 until January 2018.

Dowell told The Liverpool Echo about Silva: “I have only heard good things about him. I was with Ben Watson at Nottingham Forest and he spoke really highly of the manager from his time at Watford.
“It is an exciting time for the club. He has always played attractive football and hopefully he can bring that to Everton.”

Impressing Marco Silva
Dowell spent the 2017-18 season on loan at Forest, and his performances for the Reds in the Championship were quite encouraging.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder, who earns £260,000 per year as salary according to Spotrac.com, scored nine goals and provided four assists in 31 league starts for Forest this past campaign.
The England Under-21 international will now be looking to impress new Everton manager Silva in pre-season and break into the Toffees’ team.
