Everton forward Calvert-Lewin, who is 20 years of age and is a rising star at Goodison Park, has said that facing Liverpool holds no fear.
Calvert-Lewin told The Mirror after the 2-0 win against Huddersfield Town on Saturday: “Obviously with the Merseyside derby coming up on Sunday this was a massive result for us. We go into that game with much more confidence now.
“I don’t know about Liverpool’s result today but no, there is absolutely no fear from our side going into the Merseyside derby now. We have much more confidence after the last two games.”
Anything is possible in a derby, and Everton will fancy their chances against Liverpool even though the match is at Anfield.
The Toffees have a good side, and the confidence they showed in their match at the weekend was very encouraging.
One should not be surprised if Everton pick up a point or even win against Liverpool in the Merseyside outfit next summer.
