Everton’s Yannick Bolasie celebrates
Yannick Bolasie has enjoyed a positive start to his time at Goodison Park following his summer move from Crystal Palace. The club have been playing some great football in the early stages of the season, and as reported by Liverpool Echo, the 27-year-old has spoken about embracing the Dutch style of play under new manager Ronald Koeman.
“Learning from a manager like Ronald Koeman is totally different to what I’ve had in the past,” Bolasie said.
“The Dutch way of playing, the Dutch way of doing everything is totally different to what I’ve had.
Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew
“I feel like I’m covering every angle to make sure I perform on Saturday.”
It is certainly interesting to debate as to what the differences between management styles are, with Bolasie formerly playing under Englishman Alan Pardew. It certainly seems evident that the management styles of Pardew and Koeman are very different, but which way Bolasie himself prefers to play under is an interesting question.
Fans of the Toffees will be hoping that Bolasie and company can use the Dutch approach to football to guide the club back into Europe this season. He will line up for Everton on Friday against his former club at Goodison Park with both teams experiencing a solid start to the 2016/17 campaign.
