According to the Daily Mirror, Everton want Jamie Vardy in January, and if they can snap him up, they would have an attack to rival Liverpool’s for pace.

Everton have put together a threatening front line, but their lack of a clinical number nine has hurt them.

Marco Silva has been forced to play Richarlison up-front in recent weeks, but the Brazilian looks better when stationed out on the left flank.

Everton want to address the problem by bringing in Vardy at the next opportunity, and by doing so they would have an attack which would be just as fast as Liverpool’s.

The Reds have Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, who can all leave opposition defences standing.

Liverpool have become a major danger on the counter attack since the flying trio have worked in tandem, but Everton could be a similar threat in the future.

With Vardy flanked by Richarlison and Theo Walcott, Everton would have so much pace to call upon going forward.

And Everton fans should be excited by the prospect of potentially seeing Vardy at Goodison Park in 2019.
