Burnley should consider a move for the Everton defender this summer.

According to a report from the Mirror today, Everton are ready to listen to offers for Ashley Williams, and the experienced centre-back would be the ideal summer addition for Burnley.
Williams joined the Toffees from Swansea City in the summer of 2016, for a fee believed to be in the region of £12 million, and he has gone on to rack up 73 appearances in all competitions for the Blues.
At 33, Williams still has plenty of years left ahead of him for a centre-back, and his experience combined with an absolute love of defending would make him the ideal summer addition for the Clarets.

Burnley enjoyed a wonderfully successful Premier League campaign last season – one that culminated in a seventh placed finish in the table, but Sean Dyche will not be resting on his laurels this summer.
One particular area where he will want to improve is his central defensive options, with more competition required for the likes of James Tarkowski and Ben Mee, and who better than Williams.

The Wales international is an old school defender in every sense, and his tenacious approach to the game along with his 100 per cent commitment makes him the perfect fit for Dyche’s setup at Turf Moor.
It is unclear as to how much Everton will demand for Williams, but with just one-year remaining on his current contract with the Toffees, Burnley might just be able to pick him up for a bargain fee this summer.
