Everton won against Southampton at Goodison Park in the Premier League at the weekend.

Barcelona-owned central midfielder Andre Gomes has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his impression of Everton’s Goodison Park on a matchday.

Gomes is on the sidelines at the moment with a knee injury, and the midfielder did not feature for Everton against Southampton at the weekend.

Marco Silva’s side got the better of the Saints 2-1 at Goodison Park in what was their first league match at home in the Premier League this season.

Gomes, who joined Everton from Spanish and European giants Barcelona in the summer transfer window, was at the match, and the 25-year-old Portugal international central midfielder was impressed with the atmosphere at Goodison Park.

Everton have made a strong start to the season and have picked up four points from their opening two Premier League matches.

While it is hard to see the Toffees break into the top four of the Premier League this season, the Merseyside outfit can certainly challenge for a place in the top six given the quality of players they have.
