By acting early Everton appear to have signed a bargain in Ademola Lookman.

Everton stole a march on their rivals earlier this year when they signed Ademola Lookman from Charlton in a £11 million deal.
The move was a record deal for a player in England’s third tier, but it is beginning to look like a bit of a bargain.
Lookman showed what he was all about by scoring on his debut against Manchester City, although was used more sparingly after that, mostly as a substitute.

This past fortnight he has been starring for England’s under-20 side, and played a crucial role in their run to the final of the competition.
Lookman netted in the semi against Italy, further sign of his big game temperament.

His performances have seen his profile increase, and if he was still at Charlton, a scramble would be emerging for his signature.
The Metro had reported interest from Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Southampton in Lookman last summer, and it would be a lot tougher for Everton to sign him now after his recent displays.
The price tag would surely have risen too, and the £11 million looks very reasonable in a market where record transfer sums are being speculated upon a daily basis.
Lookman has a challenge to kick on next season and really establish himself in the Everton first team next season, but the signs are very promising.
