Everton youngster David Henen has been singing the praises of his senior team-mate and fellow Belgian Kevin Mirallas today – on what is the attackers 29th birthday.

The Belgian international turns 29 today and clearly has an admirer in the young winger, who is nine years his junior.

Mirallas, who has been at Everton since 2012, has clearly done his best to look after the talented player since his arrival at the club. Henen, sent out this tweet earlier today, thanking Mirallas for everything he has done for him since his time at the club:

Henen was one of the most wanted players in Europe as a teenager. Eventually Everton got hold of the player, much like Mirallas, signing him from Greek side Olympiakos in September 2014.

He has so far failed to live up to the high expectations that fans had of him upon his arrival at the club.

The attacker is still awaiting his Everton debut and spent last season out on loan at Fleetwood Town – with limited success.

But Henen is still young and with the help of Mirallas he might still make it at Goodison Park.
