Everton were beaten 3-1 by West Ham United at Goodison Park yesterday.

West Ham ran out 3-1 winners at Goodison Park yesterday, and Everton’s performance in the contest was a disappointment.
The Toffees were short of their best against West Ham, yet they still created chances in the contest.
Cenk Tosun was guilty of missing a hatful of opportunities, and Oumar Niasse also wasted a gilt-edged chance late on.
Moyes felt that the game highlighted Everton’s lack of a top quality striker, and he believes that with Arnautovic in their line-up, the Toffees would have picked up the three points.

Moyes said: “I think if Arnautovic had been playing for Everton today, Everton would have won the game. In the first half, Everton looked to try and play into Tosun and they lost the ball. Anything that came into Marko, he set it or span in behind. He would have been a real handful for anybody.”
Arnautovic scored West Ham’s third goal in the contest to secure the three points, and troubled Everton’s defence throughout the contest.
The victory was West Ham’s first of the season, while Everton were also beaten for the first time under Marco Silva.
