The Arsenal striker is a reported transfer target for Everton.
Toffees boss Ronald Koeman’s search for a new striker will surely now intensify, following Romelu Lukaku’s exit from Goodison Park this summer.
One of the Dutchman’s key targets is Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud, with the Mirror reporting that he would cost the Blues £30 million.
Everton would surely be best served by avoiding a move for the Gunners star, however, with far better value to be had in the market this summer.

Despite the Frenchman’s obvious talent, he will be 31 in September, and there is a real argument to be made that he, as a striker, is well past his prime.
His record during his time in England is impressive, with 98 goals in 227 outings for Arsenal, but it has been his performances in the big games that have led to questions being asked regarding his standing as a so-called elite player.
Giroud has often been found wanting in games against top-four rivals, or when coming up against some of Europe’s biggest clubs in the Champions League.
Everton are striving to force their way inside the Premier League’s top-four this season, so signing the 30-year-old Gunner would seem to make little sense.
He would be a sound acquisition, there is no denying that, but it is very much doubtful that he would be able to take the Toffees to another level.
