The Toffees are set to let the Spaniard go this month, and Holland could be his best destination

Reports this week have continuously seen Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu linked with a move away from the club.

The Spaniard has struggled to find his best form this season under the management of Ronald Koeman and has been strongly linked with a move to Italian side AC Milan.

It was also reported by the Guardian that Dutch side Ajax were keen on the player and Everton would be wise to consider this option.

Ajax would potentially be a brilliant destination for the talented wide man to hone his skills, and ultimately return to Everton a better player.

Giving up on the Spaniard completely seems a mistake at this point in his career. He still has plenty to offer at just 22-years-old and the likes of AC Milan or Middlesbrough, also linked with his signature, may be considering more permanent offers.

At Ajax Deulofeu would get the chance to shine in his best position on the right-wing and would be able to put himself up against less impressive opposition – giving him the chance to build his clearly fragile confidence back up to where it needs to be.

The Eredivisie might just be the best option for Everton to send Deulofeu, if they believe he does have a first-team future at Goodison Park.
