Everton summer signing Yannick Bolasie has commented on his continued wait for his first Everton goal – after he saw what looked like his first goal for the club chalked off against Middlesbrough, thanks to his mate Romelu Lukaku.

Bolasie has been fantastic so far this season for Everton with his wide play proving a real thorn in the side of rival full-backs.

That was certainly the case against Middlesbrough last weekend. He had a brilliant game and it looked like he had got a goal.

His in-swinging cross from the right-hand side and it looked like he beat Victor Valdes with the wicked delivery.

But Everton striker Lukaku claimed he got a touch on the ball and the striker has seemingly won the battle for his goal.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Bolasie had this to say about the goal:

“Typical striker. He owes me one now!”

Bolasie is clearly happy to wait and is not afraid to hand a few goals to his mate and strike partner Lukaku.

The DR Congo winger will be looking to get his first Everton goal soon, with Bournemouth away surely in his sights today.

But the striker wins when it comes to claiming goals.
