According to ESPN, Real Madrid want €25 million (£22.59 million) as transfer fee for Sergio Reguilon, with Everton among the clubs reportedly interested in the 23-year-old.

ESPN has reported that Chelsea are favourites to secure the services of the Spaniard, who is on loan at Sevilla at the moment and is now represented by Kia Joorabchian.

However, according to the report, while the Blues have held talks over the signing of the youngster, they are facing competition from several clubs for the signature of the 23-year-old.

On July 31, Sky Sports reported of interest from Everton in Reguilon, and claimed that the Toffees have made a bid of £18 million for the youngster.

Good signing for Everton?

With Leighton Baines having retired, Everton do need a new left-back to compete with and potentially displace Lucas Digne from the starting lineup.

Reguilon is one of the best young left-backs in Europe, and he has done well for Sevilla this season.

The youngster played an important role in the Andalucian club finishing in the top four of the La Liga table this season, and he is also doing well in the Europa League, as Sevilla have progressed to the semi-finals.

According to WhoScored, Reguilon scored two goals and provided four assists in 31 La Liga games, and has scored one goal in four Europa League matches for Sevilla this season.
