Antonee Robinson wants first-team chances with Everton but, if rumours are true, he won’t get them next season.

Everton might be about to disappoint Antonee Robinson.
Only on Monday did Robinson tell Wigan Today that he was looking forward to breaking into Marco Silva’s senior squad on Merseyside for next season.
But if a report from The Echo is accurate, that won’t be happening yet.
The Echo claims that Everton will loan out the USA international, who spent last season at Wigan Athletic.
The report adds that Silva wants Leighton Baines to stay as Lucas Digne’s back up for the left-back role, and that the Toffees are confident he’ll be signing a one-year extension.
Robinson’s chances hinged on Baines leaving but, with the 34-year-old seemingly set to stay at Goodison Park, the young defender might have to postpone plans to crowbar his way into the senior set-up.
The 21-year-old, still waiting for his Premier League debut, was born in Milton Keynes but earned his first cap for USA last May, having qualified through his New York-born father.
This might be a heartbreaking setback for Robinson, who clearly dreams of top-flight football, but it looks like he’ll have to wait.
