Frank Lampard’s Everton and David Moyes’s West Ham United are among the clubs interested in signing Scott McTominay from Manchester United in the summer transfer window, according to 90min.

90min have reported that Everton, Southampton and Leicester City are keen on securing the services of McTominay.

The report has claimed that West Ham manager David Moyes is a ‘confirmed fan of the player’, adding that Newcastle are ‘long-term admirers’ of the 25-year-old Scotland international midfielder, who earns £73,000 per week as salary (SalarySport).

90min have added that Manchester United have not made McTominay available for transfer, and that the midfielder himself has not asked to leave.

The report has claimed that the likes of Everton and West Ham are showing interest in the Scotsman as Manchester United close in on the signing of Brazil international defensive midfielder Casemiro from Real Madrid.

Could a transfer happen?

In our view, Manchester United are unlikely to let Scott McTominay leave in the summer transfer window, unless, of course, the Scotland international himself wants to leave.

Yes, of course, if Casemiro moves to Old Trafford, then the Brazilian will go straight into the Red Devils’ starting lineup.

That will mean more competition for McTominay, and that could actually help push McTominay to greater heights.

McTominay is a homegrown talent, and Manchester United are unlikely to sell him at the age of 25 when his best years are ahead of him.
