Everton are interested in West Ham United boss David Moyes as they consider a move to replace Frank Lampard in the Goodison Park hot seat.
That’s according to The Sun, with Bill Kenwright understood to still be a huge fan of Moyes.
Kenwright prised Moyes away from Preston North End back in 2002 and the pair worked together for 11 successful years at Everton.
Moyes moved on to Manchester United, Real Sociedad, Sunderland and two spells at West Ham United, but Kenwright remains a fan.
Everton fans are used to seeing Moyes linked with a return to Goodison Park and the timing of this one isn’t a huge surprise.
Moyes is under pressure himself at West Ham United after a difficult Premier League campaign so far, winning just four times in 18 games.
Moyes will allegedly cost around £5million to lure away from West Ham, which could be an attractive deal for the Toffees.

David Moyes could bring some stability to Everton
It’s never nice to talk about somebody losing their job but Lampard is clearly under enormous pressure.
The 4-1 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion in midweek has heaped the pressure on Lampard and many are expecting a change soon.
Moyes may not be the exciting choice for Everton fans but he could be the answer to the club’s problems with stability.
Since Moyes left Everton, the Toffees have been through Roberto Martinez, Ronald Koeman, Sam Allardyce, Marco Silva, Carlo Ancelotti, Rafael Benitez and now potentially Lampard.
Everton don’t seem to know what kind of manager to go for, what their identity is, what their aims are in the Premier League.
That’s the kind of situation West Ham found themselves in before appointing Moyes in 2019, having attempted to go big with Manuel Pellegrini only to enjoy much more success under Moyes.
The Scot has steadied the ship, built the club back up again and ultimately allowed West Ham to punch above their weight.
Everton may hope that Moyes can do the same for Everton again, but whether he thinks it’s the right time to leave West Ham and but his Everton legacy on the line remains to be seen.
