Everton and West Ham United are in the race to sign Bristol City talent Alex Scott after a breakthrough season at Ashton Gate.

That’s according to the Daily Mail, who claim that Bristol City are now preparing themselves for major summer bids for Scott.

West Ham are believed to be keen on bringing Scott to East London, with Everton and Leicester City also interested.

Clubs on the continent are also believed to be interested in Scott, with a major battle seemingly coming at the end of the season.

Scott, 18, has emerged as a key first-team player under Nigel Pearson this season having joined from Guernsey in 2019.

With three goals and two assists in 27 Championship games, Scott has become a hot prospect at Ashton Gate this season.

Scott previously spent time training with Southampton and Bournemouth but has really made a home for himself at Bristol City.

A smooth and skilful attacking midfielder, Scott has been branded ‘The Guernsey Grealish’ as a result of his style in the final third.

When you add in the rolled down socks, you can understand how Scott managed to pick up that nickname.

Scott of course has a long, long way to go before reaching Grealish’s level and Everton, West Ham and Leicester certainly won’t be paying around £100million.

Still, Scott appears to be a huge talent for the future and the Mail’s report suggests that Bristol City may need to sell.

Having shown the versatility to play at wing back this season too, Scott seems not only talented but also adaptable at a young age.

Those are very appealing qualities in any young player, with Scott now potentially heading for a big Premier League transfer this summer.
