Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks is a target for Everton among other clubs this summer – and Frank Lampard is a big fan. Back in 2017, he raved about the England star after his performances against Real Madrid.
Winks, 26, looks set to leave Tottenham this summer as Antonio Conte continues his Spurs revolution. Part of that will be removing the fringe players and replacing them with stars Conte thinks can take Spurs forward.
Midfielder Winks is set to be a casualty. The Sun reported this week that Everton are one of four clubs looking at Winks, along with Fulham, Sevilla and Southampton. A fee of £20million will be enough to prize him away.

Spurs beat Real Madrid 3-1 at Wembley in the 2017 Champions League group stages, after a 1-1 draw away, in which Winks starred. Lampard, a pundit for BT Sport, gave his verdict on Winks – praising his ball control.
“I do rate him, certainly. He has shown great maturity in Madrid, in the first game. In England, we bemoan players that can link up play, can receive it off our defenders and be comfortable in all positions,” Lampard said.
“Players that move the ball quickly; he does that job so well. He doesn’t want too many touches, receives it, plays forward. Credit to him because he’s come in, seamlessly this season,” Everton boss Lampard added.

A move to Everton makes sense for Winks. Not only would he be learning under the guidance of one of England’s best-ever midfielders, but he would also be forming a reunion with Dele Alli. Everton need a holding midfielder.
Allan looks set to depart this summer, while a permanent move for Donny van de Beek is also unlikely. Erik Ten Hag will want a reunion at Old Trafford. So, Everton need a midfielder, and Winks seems to fit the bill.
