Everton are keen to bring Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun to Goodison Park in January according to the Daily Mail.

Sam Allardyce is targeting a striker when the window opens and the Turkish international, who scored 24 goals last season, is believed to be attainable for £20m.

It’s a fee that shouldn’t be a problem for Everton although bringing him to England won’t be easy given he has a Champions League last 16 tie with Bayern Munich to look forward to. Besiktas will surely want to have their top scorer for such matches.

Everton may be able to push the deal through by using Sandro Ramirez as a makeweight. The former Barcelona forward has had a nightmare six months at Goodison Park since joining from Malaga.

He’s played just 15 times in all competitions, starting only six games and has only the one goal to his name which came in the Europa League in a 5-1 defeat to Atalanta.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a return to Spain with Valencia interested in taking him on loan according to the Sun.

Sandro was excellent for a struggling Malaga side last season. He scored 16 goals in all competitions and Everton’s £5m capture looked like a steal. He’s also got seven Barcelona goals to his name so he clearly has the talent which would definitely give Besiktas something to think about if he is offered to them.

He could link up with compatriot Alvaro Negredo in Turkey which would only be a positive for him. It’s a move which would suit all parties well.
