Everton and Udinese duo Rodrigo Becao and Beto with a huge double bid for the pair believed to be coming this summer.
That’s according to Tutto Udinese, who claim that the ‘first sirens’ of the summer transfer window are being heard loud and clear at Udinese.
It’s stated that Everton are ready to go back in for Beto having missed out on a deal for the striker late in January.
However, Everton want to make it a double deal this time and take Beto’s Udinese teammate Rodrigo Becao to Merseyside too.
Everton are allegedly ‘ready’ to put €35million (£31million) on the table in order to sign both players.
No deal is close right now, possibly because Everton don’t actually know what division they will be in next season just yet.
Everton seem ready to put pressure on Udinese for Beto and Becao but this one may only develop towards the end of the season.
Beto makes sense for Everton… Becao maybe not
Everton’s interest in Beto has been highlighted for a few weeks now.
According to The Mirror, the Toffees offered to pay £20million for Beto around the transfer deadline but Udinese said no.
That would suggest that Udinese will be seeking more than £31million when you throw defender Becao into the deal.
Beto, 25, is a giant striker at around 6ft 4in tall and may be just what Sean Dyche wants at Everton.
Seven goals in 23 Serie A games this season isn’t anything truly mind-blowing but Everton need another source of goals in attack.
Beto could be that man but links to Becao seem a little more on the strange side.
Everton have been linked with Becao for months now but it has never really added up.
Everton already have a settled defensive pairing in James Tarkowski and Conor Coady.
Yerry Mina, Michael Keane, Ben Godfrey and Mason Holgate remain in the Everton ranks too, so unless two of those players leave, it’s hard to justify signing another defender in Becao.
We can certainly see Everton going back in for Beto, but a double deal including Becao could surprise us.
